Completion of the Master of Education—School Counseling Program qualifies the student for the Indiana kindergarten-12 School Counselor Initial Practitioner License.

Progress Toward the Degree

Any student seeking to complete the master’s degree program in school counseling must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or above in all graduate work.

Individuals on a second master’s degree who need to satisfy the research component requirement should consult with their advisor in regard to the completion of Counseling 792, Field Research Projects—1 credit.

Note:


Courses in the 500 series are open to undergraduates as *400 series. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature. A course taken at the 400 level may not be repeated at the 500 level.
