Sport Management
Foundational Core (30 credits):
- Minimum of 57 hours in Sport Management courses which includes any and all courses listed in SPM curriculum
- Sport Management: Students must earn a C- or better in each course within the major.
Professional Core (12-15 credits):
Sport Management students will be required to maintain B (3.0) or better average in major courses in order to register for the culminating internship experience (SPM 490 - Sport Management Internship). Students that earn below a 3.0 will be required to complete the alternate: SPM 419 (3 credits) and one directed elective in SPM courses (3 credits).
Career Path (minimum 15 credits):
Complete a minor in from the following options (min 15 credit hours):
Athletic Team Management, Sport Administration & Commerce, Sport Facility & Event Management, Sport for Recreation, Sport Marketing & Revenue Generation or other minor as approved by Sport Management faculty advisor.
Degree Map Athletic Team Management Minor
This program has the following GPA requirements: 2.0 Overall; 3.0 (Major GPA) to enroll in the capstone internship course (SPM 490 ); below 3.0 will enroll in alternate path to graduation.
