Licensure Requirements:
- Complete Business Education, Information, and Technology 492 with a grade of C+ or higher;
- Complete all courses in the major with a 2.5 grade point average or higher and achieve a grade point average of 2.5 or higher in all courses taken;
- Complete Business Education, Information, and Technology 317, 320, 336, and 337 with a 2.5 or higher grade point average for this block of courses with no grade lower than a C for each course;
- Complete each course in Phase I, II, and III of the Professional Education sequence with a grade of C or higher and achieve a grade point average of 2.5 or higher for all of these courses;
- Pass Praxis II at the minimum level of competency or higher; and complete student teaching satisfactorily.
Degree Map
A requirement to this plan is to become fully admitted to the Scott College of Business by the end of the fourth semester. College of Business Admission (COBA) requires: an average GPA of 2.25 or higher in BUS 100 , BUS 180 , BUS 201 , BUS 205 , and ECON 200 ; completion of freshman English composition, communication, and MATH 105 . Students who are admitted to the University in good standing and who have satisfactorily completed all prerequisites may apply for admission to the educator preparation program BCP I.
