African and African American Studies Minor

The African and African American Studies minor provides students with a grounding in intellectual and historical trends in African and African American culture, as well as the opportunity to conduct advanced research in the field.

Electives (9 credits):
Select 9 credits of electives from: History and Social Sciences: 3 credits (African and African American studies, history, political science, and psychology). Humanities and Fine Arts: 3 credits (African and African American studies, art, English, and music). An additional 3 credits should be chosen from either category above. Six of the nine elective credits must be at the 300 or 400 level. African and African American studies 250 (a 1 credit course) may be repeated twice for credit toward the minor. Note:
The African and African American Studies Minor is not available to students who have declared the African and African American Studies Major. |
