The Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising (TAM) Merchandising minor is designed for TAM majors. A minor in merchandising provides students with the necessary background to navigate the business side of fashion industry. Courses include exposure to theories and practices specific to the forecasting and distribution of fashion goods; merchandise buying and planning; sourcing strategies; and retail operations and management. A minimum of 18 credit hours is required. Prerequisites for all courses must be met, or the student must have the permission of the instructor.
