Completion of the master of education degree qualifies the student for one of the following:
The Indiana professional License in elementary education provided the student holds the standard elementary license and has completed five years of teaching experience.
or
The Indiana Professional License in early childhood education provided the student holds a standard license and has completed five years of appropriate teaching experience.
or
The Indiana Initial Practitioner Generalist: Elementary License by completing the elementary licensure concentration. Prerequisites that must be met are: passing PRAXIS 1 at the cut off scores established by the state of Indiana; passing a criminal history check.

Courses in the 500 series are open to undergraduates as *400 series. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature. A course taken at the 400 level may not be repeated at the 500 level. |
