Major:
An additional 25 credits of course work, including the culminating experience, must be taken. A minimum of 19 credits must be taken within the department. If the student has never had a course in learning or cognition, PSY 603 must be one of the choices. The student’s program is determined in consultation with a departmental advisor. Later, each student selects a supervisor for the culminating experience (PSY 698 or 699), who may or may not be the initial advisor. If the latter, the supervisor becomes the student’s advisor.
The exact nature of the project is determined in consultation with the project supervisor.
Candidates for the Psy.D. Program:
Candidates complete and document portfolios that demonstrate basic research and practice competencies established by the department.
Note:
Courses in the 500 series are open to undergraduates as *400 series. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature. A course taken at the 400 level may not be repeated at the 500 level.
