Martial Arts Minor

This curriculum is designed for students who are interested in studying martial arts, and for those who wish to become instructors in a particular area of martial arts. This program will familiarize students with the theories, practices, and philosophies found in the martial arts from the past to the present.

Courses to be taken outside the realm of physical education in order to broaden students’ knowledge of martial arts and its application. These classes are to be taken with the consent of the martial arts coordinator and may include, but are not limited to, classes in criminology, philosophy, theatre, anthropology, recreation and sports management, and psychology. |
