Note:
An applied experience component is required within the 31 credits and must consist of at least 6 credits of 300/400-level course work taken as a Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics study abroad course approved by advisor.
A minimum 2.5 grade point average for all course work required in the major.
Students who enter with a strong language background are eligible to receive credit by examination through various sources such as the University’s placement test or CLEP tests for beginning and intermediate level credit, and the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Languages test for advanced level credit.
