This program is designed for Individuals who have completed a teacher preparation program under rules 46-47; It does not lead to an initial teaching license. Students seeking to professionalize an Indiana Standard Teaching License (Rules 46-47) should consult with Education Student Services 812-237-3131.

Additional Requirements:
An additional 18 credits in family and consumer sciences chosen from:
- An area of specialization in family and consumer sciences education; child development and family life; food and nutrition; or textiles, apparel, or interior design,
- An inter-area option comprised of courses from two or more of the above listed areas of specialization.
Choose one of the following:
Culminating Experience:
- A thesis or a comprehensive written examination, followed by an oral defense.

Individuals interested in teacher licensure are encouraged to consult with Education Students Services, College of Education 812-237-3131. Note:
Courses in the 500 series are open to undergraduates as *400 series. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature. A course taken at the 400 level may not be repeated at the 500 level. |
