The School of Nursing at Indiana State University admitted their first class of students in September 1963. The School of Nursing consists of both undergraduate and graduate programs. The undergraduate nursing program currently consists of 3 tracks. These tracks include the traditional four-year campus-based baccalaureate degree (BSN), hybird 15 month accelerated 2nd degree (BSN), and a fully online LPN to BSN degree. Graduate education includes a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Nursing Education. The FNP and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner are both available as Post-Master’s Certificates. Additionally, graduate education offers both Bachelor of Science to Doctor of Nursing Practice (BSN-DNP) and the Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). All graduate programs and certificates are offered fully online through distance education.
Admissions into the baccalaureate nursing major is competitive. Admission into Indiana State University is not admission into the nursing major. Additional information is available at https://indianastate.edu/academics/colleges/health-human-services/son
