The Department of Human Resource Development and Performance Technologies offers comprehensive programs that provide students with opportunities to apply relevant classroom principles to real-world industry situations and challenges. Baccalaureate degree majors include: adult and career education; human resource development for higher education and industry; and textiles, apparel, and merchandising. Performance technology competencies designed into these programs focus on planning, managing, organizing, and evaluating business functions associated with both human and organizational performance. Offering a balance of classroom study and experiential learning, these programs prepare students to lead in challenging career fields. Additional department offerings include minors in human resource development for higher education and industry and in textiles, apparel, and merchandising.
Graduate programs offered include a master of science degree or master’s certificate in human resource development for higher education and industry. Students planning graduate study should consult the Graduate Catalog for information about graduate degrees.
The Department of Human Resource Development and Performance Technologies offers a baccalaureate degree-completion program in human resource development for higher education and industry to students through the University’s DegreeLink Program. DegreeLink, an extended access, degree-completion program, enables students who have earned credit hours and associate degrees from accredited institutions to transfer credit hours as a block or on a course-by-course basis to baccalaureate degree programs.
