HIST 508 - Nation-Building, Democracy, and Development in the Modern World3 credits
This course explores historically and theoretically the different paths humans have taken over the past two hundred and fifty years in building modern nation-states, developed economies, and democratic policies. During the course students will focus on comparing the American path to modernity to the paths of other countries.
