Description
Advanced cycles (Otto/Diesel/Atkinson/Miller), combustion/knock, boosting/EGR, heat transfer, and efficiency mapping. Comparative thermal management for IC vs. hybrid/EV systems. Labs include dynamometer testing, data reduction, and simulation.

This course is offered concurrently at the graduate level (AET 535). In certain circumstances, senior students may opt to take the graduate level version in lieu of this course.
