Description
Scenic Stagecraft introduces students to scenic construction and prop-making concepts, techniques, equipment, and materials, emphasizing problem solving through research, experimentation, and collaborative learning while considering the environment and economic choices, and emphasizing the safety of technicians, performers and the audience. Students will learn to appreciate the performative aspects of stagecraft by participating in behind-the-scenes roles during the periods of construction and technical rehearsals. Participation as crew member for one department production, including commitments on evenings and weekends, may be required.
