MUS 103 - Introduction to Musicianship 3 Credits
Description Preparatory course in musicianship and musical traditions, covering elementary aspects of rhythm, notation, key knowledge, intervals, scales, and triads; skills applied through sight singing and ear training. Introduction to the historical and cultural study of music from both Western and non-western traditions, with an emphasis on active listening skills and music vocabulary.

Note Class meet 5 days a week. Students must earn a grade of C or better in order to proceed to the music theory courses in the sequence, MUS 111 and MUS 113.
