CS 211 - Introduction to Computer Security 3 Credits
Description This course focuses on the foundation for the study of computer system security. The course centers around the domains comprising the information security common body of knowledge. Students will learn the security management practices as well as security architecture and models, security laws, and investigations. Specific topics may include authentication, access control, cryptography, programs and programming, the web, operating systems, networks, databases, cloud computing, privacy, management and incidents, legal issues and ethics, emerging topics.
Prerequisites C or better in one of the following - CS 101 or CS 151 or CSS 130 or CSS 131
