THTR 552 - Advanced Playwriting: Adaptations

3 Credits
The focus of this course will be on play adaptations. Besides examining a variety of plays and the original literary works from which they were adapted, students will engage in their own projects of writing a full-length or long one-act play based on a piece of poetry, short fiction, a part of a novel or epic, a classic play, or a work from some other artistic genre.

Prerequisites
550 or consent of instructor.
