MUS 102 - Beginning Music Theory 3 Credits
Description Continuation of MUS 101, extending through a study of diatonic seventh chords, secondary dominant and leading tone chords, modulation, and binary and ternary forms. This course differs from MUS 112 in that it meets one more hour per week.
Prerequisites Successful completion with a C or better of MUS 101 and MUS 113
Restrictions This course is intended to be a temporary, one time, one semester Spring 2018 only course. If successfully completed with a C or better, the student will be given credit for MUS 112.

Note Three class hours a week. Students must earn a grade of C or better in order to proceed to the next courses in the sequence, 211 and 213.
