UC 110 - Issues and Ideas 1-3 Credits
Description This course is designed to provide students an opportunity to pursue an idea or issue of contemporary and/or persistent significance in an 8-week academic seminar. Possible topics: Happiness, Natural Disaster, Popular Culture, the Election, Civic Engagement, Weather, or New Media. Credit hours vary by faculty, topic, and scheduling. Each seminar engages students in critical thinking and supports development of academic competencies assignments that include reading, writing, and inquiry.
Repeatable Course can be taken twice for credit
