THTR 372 - History of Theatrical Style

Description
A study of artistic styles and how they affected styles in theater and dance. Beginning with the Greeks, students will study philosophical, historical, and artistic aspects that have contributed to the style of each period. By reading plays, looking at art and fashion, and studying dance movement, students will be introduced to their influence on each period style and how one style informs, opposes, or creates the next.
