MUS 237 - Introduction to World Music and Culture 3 Credits
Description Survey of non-Western and Western folk music traditions. Emphasis is placed on communicating musical diversity through an exploration of musical forms, instruments, performance practices, contexts, and the music’s roles in a variety of social, cultural, and global systems. No prior technical knowledge of music is necessary.
