HIST 434 - The History of Thought and Culture in the United States, to 1860 3 Credits
Description Major economic, political, and social concepts transplanted from Europe to Colonial America; and the effect of the New World environment; the growth of a body of “American” thought are the focuses of this course.
Note Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
