CHEM 461 - Physical Chemistry I 4 Credits
Description Topics include chemical thermodynamics (laws of thermoynamics, criteria for spontaneous change, phase equilibrium, chemical equilibrium, and behavior of ideal and non-ideal pure substances and mixtures) and chemical kinetics.
Prerequisites CHEM 321 and 321L; MATH 132; PHYS 116 and 116L, or PHYS 106 and PHYS 106L.
Co-requisites CHEM 461L
Note Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
