BIO 482 - Recombinant DNA 2 Credits
Description Provides a complete description of general methods for genetic manipulation including restriction analysis, cloning vectors, library construction, Southern blots, and polymerase chain reaction. Applications to biotechnology include overexpression, transgenic organisms, AIDS, DNA diagnostics, and gene therapy.
Co-requisites BIO 482L
Note Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
