AVT 317 - Technically Advanced Aircraft

Description
Through lectures, discussions and computer based simulations students will learn to operate a glass cockpit aircraft. Coverage includes: basic layout, components, operating principles, navigation and flight planning, and coping with system failures. Students will also be required to complete glass-cockpit training in the department’s simulation laboratory.

Prerequisites
Successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in AVT 243 and an instrument rating or consent of instructor.

Co-requisites
Successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in AVT 319.
