This course expands on information related to alcohol and substance abuse, and the SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) process. Students will gain knowledge and skills in best practices of screening and brief intervention. Motivational interviewing (MI) concepts will also be introduced during use of the SBIRT process.
