PSCI 418 - American Constitutional Law II: Civil Rights and Civil Liberties 3 credits
Description This course is designed to familiarize students with civil rights and civil liberties protected within the American constitutional tradition. It is not a constitutional law course, although students read case law; nor, is it a course on the Supreme Court, although students examine the role of the court in resolving disputes over rights. It is a course about politics; how a free society governs and controls itself.
Prerequisites PSCI 201, 211, and 317; or permission of the instructor.
Note Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
