MUS 545 - Analytical Techniques of Tonal Music

3 credits
Detailed analyses of stylistic characteristics and compositional techniques found in works by composers from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic Eras. A variety of analytical approaches is employed, based on their suitability to particular works.

Prerequisites
Satisfactory score on the graduate placement examination in Music Theory or successful completion of MUS 601.
