MUS 111 - Music Theory I

Description
Study of the elements of music theory, covering pitch, rhythm, scales, intervals, basic harmony, melody, voice leading, and diatonic triads in functional harmony.

Prerequisites
Satisfactory score on the Undergraduate Placement Examination in Music Theory or a grade of C or better in MUS 101, and concurrent enrollment in MUS 113. For music majors or minors, or consent of instructor.

Note
Two class hours a week.
