AHS 557 - Food Protection3 credits Prerequisites Principles and theories of food sanitation. Emphasis in understanding sources of food poisoning, food handling, pest control in the food industry, and food service establishments. Local, State, and Federal regulations and implementation are examined. Lectures, demonstrations, discussion and visitations enable familiarization with food sanitation and food service inspections.
