SOWK 490 - Generalist Social Work Practice II

3 credits

Description
Expands on the theoretical knowledge and experience base of Generalist Social Work Practice I and Field Practicum. Delves further into helping processes with an in-depth examination of the problem solving steps in generalist practices. Highlights micro and mezzo interventions with policy implications drawn. Special attention to populations-at-risk and to ethnically and racially sensitive social work practice.

Prerequisites
SOWK 480; to be taken concurrently with SOWK 498.

Open to social work majors only.
