SOC 381 - Statistics for Social Research 3 credits
Description An introductory course for students who intend to engage in elementary social research, and for those who wish to develop an ability to read the literature of empirical research in the social sciences. Emphasis will be upon descriptive statistics; i.e., graphical and tabular presentation of data, and measures of association. Probability theory and tests of significance will be introduced.
Prerequisites completion of the Quantitative Literacy requirement or consent of instructor.
