MUS 489 - Introduction to the Suzuki Method

Description
An introduction to the philosophy, curriculum, and technique of the Suzuki method of childhood music education as they apply to individual and group study.

Prerequisites
MUS 211 and 213 or concurrent enrollment in MUS 211 and 213. MUS 448 and 4 credits of MUS 468; completion of all freshman and sophomore music requirements.

Note
For the Professional-Vocational Curriculum, Music Major with Concentration in Composition. Presentation of a whole recital of original compositions during the semester enrolled; concurrent enrollment in 468. Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
