MUS 487 - Jazz Improvisation II

2 credits

Description
Additional jazz improvisation concepts, harmonies, forms, and materials, emphasizing the ability to hear, imitate, and create within the vocabulary of jazz.

Prerequisites
MUS 486, or consent of instructor. MUS 448 and 4 credits of MUS 468; completion of all freshman and sophomore music requirements.

Note
For the Professional-Vocational Curriculum, Music Major with Concentration in Composition. Presentation of a whole recital of original compositions during the semester enrolled; concurrent enrollment in 468.
