HIST 426 - History of the South

Description
Major issues in the region’s history from the beginning of European settlement through the nineteenth century, focusing on the evolution and demise of its defining slave-based culture that distinguished the region from the rest of America.

Note
Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.
