Health Services Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1: Student will be able to assess individual and community needs for health education. |
1.1 Assess community needs: Students assess community health needs and provide report. |
1.2 Compare health data to programs: Students compare health indicator data to health programs offered in the community. |
1.3 Help identify health needs: Students help identify health needs and write the needs assessment section of a grant proposal.

2.1 Plan a program: Students plan a program based on needs assessment and current research.

3.1 Implement a health program: Students implement a health program and reflect on the experience. |
Outcome 4: Students will be able to evaluate effectiveness of health education programs. |
4.1 Conduct a research project: Students conduct a research project that includes an analysis and evaluation component. |
4.2 Design an evaluation plan: Students design an evaluation plan for the proposed program described in the grant proposal. |
Outcome 5: Students will be able to discuss challenges of healthcare organizations to provide appropriate care to individual consumers and communities and propose possible solutions. |
5.1 Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and information: Students analyze quantitative and qualitative healthcare data and information for effective decisionmaking.
