ARTP 488 - Professional Practices 3 Credits
Description This course is designed to provide art majors with many of the career skills and techniques required in art. Through hands-on work, lectures, discussions, and reading assignments, students will learn about job searches, graduate schools, resumes, professional correspondence, artist’s statements, documentation of work, academe, grants, health hazards, professional ethics, and related topics.
Note Open to graduate students. Graduate students are required to do additional work of a research nature.

ARTS 351 - Intermediate Digital Art 3 Credits
Description This course emphasizes time-based media. Students will develop motion graphic works using compositing, 2D digital animation, digital drawing/painting, and interactive sculpture/installation using various software and other physical materials/techniques while exploring intersections between digital and traditional studio practices. Contemporary theory examining the cultural impact and history of digital art will be discussed. The class will investigate narrative structures through experiments in linear and hypertextual navigation with the time-based and sequential capabilities of the computer.
Prerequisites ARTS 251 or consent of instructor.
Repeatable May be repeated once for credit.

ARTS 355 - Sculpture-Wood I 3 Credits
Description Course dealing with three-dimensional form, space, and content. Care and function of hand tools, machinery, and basic woodworking techniques, with emphasis on woods, adhesives, fabrication, and design of sculpture/furniture. Individualized projects stressed.
Prerequisites ARTS 101, 102, and 104; or consent of instructor.
Note Two studio contact hours are required for every credit hour.

Description Students learn massage techniques/modalities coupled with physiological/psychological effects, including Active Isolated Stretching, Cancer Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Geriatric Massage, Pediatric Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Orthopedic Massage, Prenatal Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Sports and Fitness Massage, Rolfing, Thai Massage, and Trigger Point Release.
Prerequisites ATTR 210, BIO 231 or equivalent, PE 220 or BIO 241 or equivalent, and ATTR 441 and 441L.

ATTR 462 - Evidence-Based Treatment of Injuries 3 Credits
Description In this course, students will develop knowledge and skill specific to therapeutic interventions for common orthopedic injuries. Students will review research evidence for various interventions, participate in classroom and hands-on activities that will prepare them for professional practice regarding developing, implementing, and progress therapeutic interventions. This course will utilize various experiential learning opportunities. At the conclusion of this course, students will possess an appropriate understanding of the foundational knowledge in the physiology of trauma and the subsequent effects on tissues as a basis for interventions and a knowledge of the evidence to support the use of specific interventions.

AVT 311 - Aircraft Systems II 3 Credits
Description Continuation of the systems found on modern reciprocation and turbine powered aircraft. Topics covered will include: hydraulic and pneumatic systems, landing gear, brakes, environmental control, ice and rain protection, fire protection, aircraft turbine engines, and high speed aerodynamics. High speed aerodynamics includes the study of forces and the resulting motion of objects through the air to include compressibility effects, shock waves, and high speed aerodynamics. This course is the second half of a two-semester sequence.
Prerequisites AVT 211 with a C grade or higher, or consent of instructor.
